Although they now shoot music videos of top artists, in addition to running an intuitive film internship program, it has not come without major sacrifices and hard work.
Ishell Vaughan is a professional filmmaker, cinematographer, and the founder and owner of Ishell Vaughan Films.
Ishell represents one-third of the founding members of Secret Society Motion Pictures.
Back in the late 2000s, they could never have fathomed that this company would grow to what it is today. They were just three guys scrambling to manage an unforeseen workload, while undoubtedly gaining major popularity in the tri-state and surrounding areas.
Today Nimi Hendrix, Denity and Ishell not only shoot the majority of your favorite artists’ music videos, but they also run the most intuitive film internship program.
Gaining Knowledge
But although the guys have already enjoyed much success, they continue to challenge themselves and set their sights on reaching new goals.
Ishell’s most sought-after goal at the moment, besides being incredibly wealthy, is to just continue being in a space of learning.
He does not ever want to feel like he is the best or the smartest – he wants to always be in a position to gain knowledge.
And Ishell also has a piece of crucial advice for young entrepreneurs or anybody who wants to emerge in the industry.
He would urge them to ‘keep going and to never give up or stop for anything or anyone, regardless of what is going on.
Staying Consistent
The power of staying consistent and dedicated to people’s dreams cannot be underestimated.
Even in the face of challenges, it is crucial to keep going and, in the end, you will get to your desired destination.
Ishell also has a role model who he was keen to highlight. The person that he looks up to the most is his long-time friend and mentor, Rock Davis. He taught him a lot of what he knows now and still teaches him until this day.
In today’s fast-paced world, where many people are selfish, it is rare to find a mentor you can trust – somebody who will help you develop and get closer to your dreams.
But Ishell has found the perfect person to help him, with Rock Davis playing a key role in his success.
Furthermore, one of the key aspects of life is to enjoy your work – but unfortunately, it is something many people struggle to do.
But for Ishell, he enjoys each day at his job. In addition, he says that it is almost impossible to pinpoint the funniest thing that has ever happened to him, as he works in the film industry so it is always funny.
He can’t remember the last time that he has gone more than an hour without hysterically laughing at something.
Not only does he excel and thrive while at work, but he also absolutely enjoys it each day.
