Loyal To The Industry – The Story Of Simon Alex

Launched in 2020, Fly AVTR is already the name behind some of the hottest recent newcomers. So, what is the story behind this company that should definitely be on our watch list?

Simon Alex is the face and expertise behind Fly AVTR, and he works with the artists, developing their careers, making sure to always bring the focus back to the music!

One of the things Simon’s role involves is helping the act in question to figure out their next career move and realise it by whichever means best fits. Partners have included Universal Music Group, Juice WRLD, Victor Victor Worldwide, Ansel Elgort, Brockhampton, Lil Tecca, Columbia Records, SOPHIE, Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Republic Records, Kenny Beats, among many others.

One of his first steps in his new role was taking over the management of the then 12-year-old artist Bouba Savage. Whilst working with him, he helped to shape his career, steering him into a good direction with his music. Before that time, Alex had been working behind the scenes, helping touring DJs produce and finish off their records – and he had been doing this all whilst still in high school!

New York-based Simon’s musical interests can be traced back to when he was 11 years old. He used to use his mum’s laptop to recreate Electronic Dance Music records that he liked, and by the age of 15, he had already established himself in the international EDM scene! This was something completed through his Simon Alex project, which quickly gained support from lots of top tier DJs, including names such as Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, and Swedish House Mafia.

Over time, Simon found himself getting more into pop-oriented production, making good use of his technical skills, working his magic through genres that include the aforementioned pop, but also hip-hop, indie and jazz, and that is where he began to focus his talents on, musically.

Back to the present and Fly AVTR seems to be in an exciting position; it has plenty of promising artists under its brand, so it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the company as they continue to grow.
