“Just make my world smaller cause it’s tough out on the road” – AJ Perdomo
That simple song lyric really sums up the entire premise of The Last Second Save’s new single Miss Me When. Yes, AJ Perdomo of The Dangerous Summer is featured on the track and his bridge is killer. This song feels like it fits in with a TDS song lineup. It hits deep with those early 2000’s pop punk emotions and the lyrics paint the picture of finally moving away from a childhood home.
If you’re in the pop punk universe than you know who The Dangerous Summer is because of AJ’s iconic voice. Their sound is pivotal to the pop punk scene and AJ does not disappoint on this feature.
If you don’t know who The Last Second Save is, you should get to know them. Based out of Maryland, they are a pop punk band based on the solo project from frontman/piano player Jesse. Influences are Something Corporate, Blink 182 and ironically The Dangerous Summer. The Last Second Save has, in recent years, focused on songwriting and social media but recently ventured to stages in Baltimore and DC to play live shows.
Miss Me When is the closer song on their live set because it really brings the whole show to nice closing. Released on June 17th, it’s now available as the studio recorded version. It’s was mixed/recorded by Garrett Atkinson of GDA Productions out of Annapolis, Maryland. Mastering engineer was the well know Mat Leffler-Schulman of Mobtown Studios.
If you have Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music etc…give it a listen!
